The Slow Travel Notes

What you can't miss

Their restaurant, advised by the renowned chef Juanjo López, is open to the general public even if you are not staying at the hotel. A true commitment to traditional Menorcan cuisine with locally sourced ingredients, featuring a simple, honest and flavorful menu.

Hotel's Highlights

Amagatay embraces sustainability by implementing a series of sustainable practices in line with The Slow philosophy. For example, they have their own garden that supplies a significant portion of what is cooked in the restaurant and for what they cannot self-source, they ensure it is sourced locally from the area. As for room climate control, this is achieved through aerothermal heating, a system that promotes the utilization of environmental energy.

Amagatay is located on a 35-hectare agricultural estate, very close to Alaior. It’s just 7km away from Cales Coves and the well-known Cova d’en Xoroi.

It serves as the perfect starting point to explore the charming villages of Menorca, its crystal-clear beaches, trails and routes, and its cherished traditions.
